Week 10 Sneaky Pickups

By Josh McFall
Fantasy Football Staff Writer

As the playoff races start heating up, every person you start or sit could be the difference between a championship and hopeful thoughts for the infamous "next year."

Here are a few players that could help snag a crucial win. A lot of people have written about obvious pickups such as Marcel Reece, James Starks, Chris Ivory and Danny Amendola, but here we will discuss some under the radar pickups that could help put you over the top this week. Keep in mind, grabbing the right person, if even just to sit on your bench, could help prevent one of your opponents from getting a big win. Don't be afraid to play the keep away game.

RYAN FITZPATRICK, QB: @Patriots (Available in nearly 50% of ESPN leagues)
Patriots have allowed the 6th most fantasy points to opposing QBs at nearly 18 points per game (including 23 points to Fitzpatrick back in week 4). Fortunately for fantasy owners, Fitzpatrick will be forced to throw all day as the Pats should put up a lot of points.

VICK BALLARD, RB: @ Jaguars (Available in over 50% of ESPN leagues)
Ballard is averaging a solid 4.14 ypc over the past three games. He has a great matchup as the Jags are 3rd worst vs RB (23 points/ game) and just gave up 41 fantasy points to the Lions RBs last week. Additionally, Donald Brown missed Tuesday's practice with soreness in his knee and is unlikely to play on short rest when the Colts kick off on Thursday.

RYAN BROYLES, WR: @ Vikings (Available in over 90% of ESPN leagues)
A combination of Stafford becoming more comfortable with Broyles, Megatron attracting multiple defenders, and the Vikings being more susceptible to the pass in recent weeks makes Broyles an interesting play this week. This guy knows how to play football. Remember, he set the NCAA record for most receptions by a WR while at Oklahoma but fell in the draft after tearing his ACL. A sleeper of mine in the preseason, Broyles is primed for a breakout performance.

I hope these guys help you to pickup a big win this week.
